By accessing and using Quizly ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Quizly is an AI-powered quiz generation platform that allows users to create, share, and take custom quizzes. The service includes both free and premium tiers with varying features and limitations, as well as quiz bundles for purchase.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You can register using email and password, passkey authentication, or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for safeguarding your password and authentication credentials
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account

4. Subscription and Payments

Quizly offers the following paid services:

Premium Subscription (£2.99/month)

• You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods

No Ads (£0.99 one-time)

• One-time payment removes all advertisements permanently
• This is a non-refundable purchase
• Ad-free experience applies immediately after purchase

Quiz Bundles (various prices)

• Quiz bundles are one-time purchases providing access to curated quiz collections
• Bundle access is permanent once purchased
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express consent
• Share, resell, or redistribute purchased quiz bundles without authorization
• Circumvent any rate limiting or access controls

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Quizly and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. User-generated quizzes remain the property of their creators, but you grant us a license to host, display, and distribute your content through the Service. Quiz bundles and their contents are the intellectual property of Quizly and may not be redistributed.

7. Data Retention

For free users, quizzes may be automatically deleted after 24 hours. Premium users enjoy permanent quiz storage as long as their subscription remains active. Purchased quiz bundles remain accessible permanently. User account data is retained as long as your account is active.

8. AI-Generated Content

Quizly uses AI technology to generate quiz content. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
• Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying quiz content before sharing
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or educational value of AI-generated content
• Users should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical educational or professional purposes

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Quizly be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
